Instagram users will now be able to order food from Swiggy and Zomato through Instagram. The social media platform has now partnered with the two food delivery companies. This will help the smaller restaurants to survive the pandemic crisis. Special food stickers will let the users order food.

The restaurants will be able to use the stickers launched by Instagram, to publish in their stories. The users would then just have to tap on these stickers and place their food order either through Zomato or Swiggy.

The industry head, e-commerce, and retail of Facebook, Nitin Chopra, said that they wish to help the smaller food businesses to remain open. He also expressed his happiness on having partnered with Zomato and Swiggy.

The food businesses must have the latest version of Android or iOS for the food order stickers to be available to publish. They must also have a creator or business account on Instagram. They can use the link of either Zomato or Swiggy in their Instagram Stories, which will make it easy for the users to click and order the food.

This is an interesting collaboration, and we look forward to its success as this initiative will help in saving small food businesses that are suffering losses because of the pandemic.
