The famous international car brand MG Motors that lately stepped into the Indian market has now signed up with six startups. This collaboration was done under the MG Developer Program and Grant, where the company will collaborate with startups to encourage innovation in the field of automotive space.
MG Motors will provide the six startups – Socialcore, Highway Delite, ClearQuote, CamCom, Meeseeks, and InCabEx with grant and training from experts in the technological field. They may also get a chance to work with the specialized MG teams on certain projects. MG Motor India has clearly revealed that they are focused on supporting innovation in automobile space in the startup sector after having provided funds to more than 60 startups since 2017.
In one of their statements MG Motor said that the startups they have been supporting are engaged in the fields of navigation, engine and emissions, electric vehicles ecosystem, connectivity, child in-car safety and others.
The President and Managing Director of MG Motor India Ltd, Rajeeb Chaba said that their company is thriving on innovation and they have developed a synergetic relationship with the Indian startup ecosystem and they wish to establish “comprehensive, sustainable, and smart infrastructure for urban mobility in the country.”
The MG developer Program has been received wonderfully, and they welcomed all the startups that have been signed up by them. They were looking forward to working with them as a team. MG Motors may also further explore the collaboration is likely to use their innovations in the upcoming vehicles, Chaba added.
The first vehicle launched by MG Motor in India was Hector in 2019, and soon they launched the ZS electric sport utility vehicle this January. They have already begun assembling a new vehicle which is yet to be launched.
